Mentioning People is a Disease

‎'Abdullaah Ibin 'Awn  (رحيمه الله)  said:

"Mention of the people is a disease and remembrance of Allaah is a cure."

Al-Haafidh Adh-Dhahabi (رحيمه الله)  said:

"I said: "Certainly by Allaah. So it is amazing how we and our ignorance, leave off the cure and embark upon the disease?

Allaah, the Most High, says: 

"So remember Me and I will remember you." 

[Qur'an 2:152]

 and He says:

 "And the remembrance of Allaah is greater."

 [Qur'an 29:45] 

and He says:

 "And those who believe and whose hearts find tranquility in the remembrance of Allaah. Do not the hearts find tranquility in the remembrance of Allaah?"

 [Qur'an 13:28]

However that isn't achieved except by the success of Allaah. And whoever constantly invokes Allaah and keeps knocking at the door, it will be opened for him."

"The teacher is not allowed to be violent and the student is not allowed to be arrogant."
